Explanation of U Values
A U-Value is a measure of heat loss through a structural element. Calculated on the rate at which heat transfers through 1 square metre of a structure and is stated in W/m2K. When it comes to U values, lower is always better!
U Value Regulations
U1.6 W/m2K is the current standard for replacement windows. U1.8 W/m2K is the current standard for replacement doors. We continually beat those standards by a significant margin.
A range of our windows are EnviroCore, this means it uses 30% lead-free recycled content which reduces PVC-U waste.
Conservatory & Extensions
These products have outstanding energy efficiency with a U-value of only 0.10W/m2k.
Our windows can provide you with a U value of as low as 0.8 W/M2K. While our doors go as low as 1.0 W/M2K.
BS6375-1 is the classification for weather tightness on windows and doors. Our products comfortably exceed these requirements.
Our Triple Glazed WarmCore doors have up to 75% better thermal performance compared to other systems.
Thermal Break Technology
Our Roof Lanterns keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It also is up to 65% more thermally efficient than conventional roof systems.
Flat Roof Lights
We have engineered these for thermal performance, which has lead these to have a frame ‘U value’ of only 1.0 W/m2K.
Optional Thermal Upgrades
We offer optional upgrades on some of our products that can bring UV protection up to 73%.
